About Me

Hi, I’m Kashif Shaikh, a final-year Game Design student who loves the way games can entertain, tell stories, release frustration, and just make you feel better after a long day.

I’d call myself a bit lazy, but I always get things done on time — just in smarter ways. I enjoy exploring new topics instead of sticking to one thing forever, which has helped me learn a lot along the way.

Pretty comfortable with Unity, I can write most of the code I need with a little AI help. Over the past year, I’ve also worked with Unreal Engine and gained solid experience in 3D modeling and texturing using Maya and Blender. I’ve experimented with AR and VR too, focusing mainly on interesting ideas and interactions.

What excites me most is working on concepts that feel interesting, even if I know I can’t finish them alone — like building an AI assistant similar to Jarvis or designing a game that teaches financial independence.

Creativity keeps me going, whether it’s digital or physical. My goal isn’t to make the most realistic or graphically advanced games — I want them to be fun, responsive, and deeply satisfying, where players truly feel in control.

My mind is always running with thoughts, day and night, and I can’t wait to bring some of them to life.

How I Got Here

2019

Got interested in 3D modeling

Blender

My first love. Started modeling simple things.

2021

Started programming

HTML 5

Made my first snake game. Learned logic and movement.

Python

Created small 2D games with pygame. Got better at coding.

2022

Shifted to a game engine

Blender UPBGE

Made a broken spaceship simulator.

Unity

Finally got in Unity and followed CodeMonkey a lot.

2023

Joined a game design course

Illustrator

Learned vector art and made icons, logos, and layouts for my game projects.

Photoshop

Designed 2D art, UI, and textures for my games.

Adobe Animate

Created smooth 2D animations and sprite cycles for gameplay.

Premiere Pro

Created clean edits and highlight videos for my game projects.

2024

Explored 3D software deeply

Maya

Built game-ready models with clean mesh flow, UVs, and animations.

Substance

Textured game assets with realistic materials and smart masks.

Zbrush

Sculpted fine details and baked normal maps for game assets.

Marmoset

Rendered models with good lighting and reflections.

2025

Dived into Unreal & AR/VR development

Unreal Engine

Built terrains, auto materials, foliage, and explored Blueprints.

UI UX Figma

Designed game UI, menus, and user flows.

AR Unity & Vuforia

Built an educational app and a small AR game.

VR Unreal

Learning to create immersive and interactive experiences.

Current Focus

I'm currently exploring the full process of game development — from concept to final build. I love experimenting with new ideas in Unity, learning about level design, gameplay mechanics, and player experience.

My goal is to join a game studio to work with a creative team, understand the full development pipeline, and grow as a Game Designer.

Hobbies & Interests

Gaming

From story-driven adventures to sandbox worlds like Minecraft — gaming keeps my creativity alive.

Programming

I love experimenting with code — sometimes building tools, sometimes letting AI help me make cool stuff.

Riding

Long rides clear my head and spark new game ideas — nothing beats the mix of wind and thoughts.

Music

Music is my escape. I enjoy exploring soundtracks and vibes that inspire world-building and mood in games.

Kids

Somehow kids just get along with me — maybe because I still enjoy fun the way they do!

Let’s Build Something Awesome!

I’m always open to new opportunities — whether it’s joining a game studio, collaborating on creative projects, or just talking about game ideas.
